Pinot Noir teaches patience. Even at our entry level, the fruit comes from old vines on the Mauchener Ruchmatt, the press is gentle, the fermentation native, and the wine spends 18 to 24 months in barrique — a mix of new and seasoned oak — before bottling. The result is recognisably Burgundian in style: red fruit, fine grain, a quiet pull on the finish. A weeknight red that earns its cork.
Tasting notes
Like an early sunset, just before evening settles in.
Bright, clear ruby in the glass.
On the nose, sour cherry, wild strawberry and redcurrant, with earth, wood and a quiet smokiness behind.
On the palate, cherry and blackberry, the smoke a light thread through the fruit.
The acidity is present without being sharp, giving the wine its drive.
